Today was Sidney’s 18th birthday. So awesome that she’s finally 18. She’s been waiting her whole life to grow up, always so independent. That independence has allowed her to grow up into a very capable young woman. I have so much faith in her and her foundation. I can’t wait to see what she does with herself. For her birthday today we went skydiving. It was so much fun! I had forgotten what it was like, but as I watched the man pack my chute, it started coming back to me. I wasn’t nervous until we crawled into the tiny tin can of an airplane and took off. Then when the door swung open and I could see the land below … I was terrified. Luckily there was a man strapped to my back to basically make me jump. I knew I had to go through with it, so out of the airplane we went. Sidney said she loved it too. I love being able to help her have unique experiences like that. She’s an adventure junkie, so this was right up her alley. I love being her mother. She is such a blessing in my life and those of her siblings as well.
Forever grateful to a loving God who trusts me with precious souls to raise here on this earth.
