Sometimes I can’t help but just sit back and reflect on the many blessings the Lord has given me.
- My kids are happy. Every year on New Years Eve I take a picture of all of my kids together on the couch. As I look over that picture from 2020, I can’t help but swell with love and gratitude for the happiness on each of their faces. It hasn’t been easy getting us to where we are, but where we are now is way better than where we were headed had we not endured the difficult things. I am forever grateful for the Lord’s guidance in our lives.
- Work. Still, I am so happy with what I do. I enjoy it so much and find genuine meaning in it. I know and am humbled that it was a gift from my loving Heavenly Father.
- Health. We have been lucky. I am grateful.
- Education. I feel spoiled that I get to study and learn. I love it. It is time consuming, for sure, and I don’t love all of the assignments, but I do love the learning. I am grateful that I am in a position in my life where I am allowed an education. I know many people aren’t.
- Peace and contentment in life. Life is good. I know I have days where sadness lingers, where exhaustion overtakes me, where loneliness leaves me empty, where doubt causes me to waver, where even boredom irritates me, but really, overall, I am at peace. I am happy, and I am so grateful. I know that when I am willing to trust the Lord, He leads me thru the darkness into the light.
Forever grateful!
