Notes from Pres. Thompson’s Class 2.21.19

  • 1N10, The knowledge of the Savior, Jesus Christ is what ties us all together as a people. It is our roots.
  • The Book of Mormon is the great gathering tool. So many sacrifices were made throughout history to preserve it. Read it! Know it! It is what tethers us and connects us to who we are (our ancestry) and to the Savior.
  • 1N15, We need to KNOW the Savior!
  • 1N19, to understand Isaiah, we are to liken it to ourselves. Read it as if you are a member of the house of Israel.
  • 1N20, brass and iron are used to describe the neck and brow- indicating hard and stiff. That is how we break away from the gospel, by being stiff and hard. We must stay soft. We must keep soft, open hearts to the Lord to understand and know His will.

There’s more but I am not going to get to it all tonight…
