Tonight’s class was so good. It reminds me that the Lord loves effort and will bless any and all of our efforts to draw nearer to Him. Even just making the time to dedicate to Him is a big deal to Him. Here are the thoughts I had throughout class tonight:
- Abraham sought out how to obtain happiness, peace, and rest. He knew what he wanted and knew what he needed to do and worked for it.
- Temples are built so God CAN dwell among us. Go to be close to Him.
- Christ was upset with the behaviors and irreverence at the temple. What do we do in our lives that defile the temple? Keep it sacred and holy. Reverence it.
- Christ IS the alter.
- Capacity. A function of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual ability. Not just one thing, but many things create our capacity. It changes with circumstances of aspects. If the Lord tells you, “You’re not ready” for something, it may be references one of those aspects of capacity, or a combination of them. It’s not a personal thing and does not define you. DO NOT be offended. Only trust.
- Abraham understood time according to the Lord.
- “and there is nothing that the Lord thy God shall take in his heart to do but what he will do it.”
- White Stone D&C 130:10-11 Given in Celestial Kingdom.
- There is a work to do. How do we balance our lives and the work that needs to be done? We merge them? We live it. President Nelson had thoughts on that in his biography.
I am so super grateful for any moments I get where I feel the gospel these days. I love it. I love the Lord.
Forever grateful!
