I wanted to take a second and jot down some thoughts I had the other day.
I have been contemplating our bodies and trying to understand their value and worth through the Lord’s perspective. We are taught that our bodies are temples and that we should treat them as such, showing respect and reverence. I have known that, but it hasn’t always fully resonated with me, and I have sought a greater love and understanding. In doing so, a thought crossed my mind …… is it possible that our bodies are so special, and should be perceived as such, because they are one way our Heavenly Father could give us a unique and special gift as individuals? Something special created in a special way just for you? Maybe?
I don’t know if my thinking is accurate, but I like to believe so just because it inspires me to care more deeply for my body and to appreciate it as a unique creation – like no others’, made just for me. I know God love us in a way that He would do that.
