The last time I was at the temple, I felt something that I didn’t expect to feel, something I have never felt before. It took me by surprise.
I have known that the Savior bears our burdens with us. He walks with us and besides us as we journey through our messy lives, and he feels all that we feel. One thing I didn’t realize is that He feels the depth of our experiences even greater than we do. He does this because His understanding is greater than ours, so He feels more. When we are in difficult situations and we sorrow, He feels our sorrow of that situation in its full capacity. We only feel what we can comprehend, but He comprehends all. His sorrow for and with us is greater than what it is for ourselves. So is His joy for and with us when we make good choices and gains. He is more than we know. His love is greater than we know. He knows us in our full capacities. And He loves us completely.
I love these little moments in the temple that help to increase my knowledge of the Savior and my love for Him. They are so special to me. Temples are a sacred blessing and sanctuary from the world.
