Living my Dream

I have always dreamed of having my kids and their spouses and all of my grandkids gathered around me and my spouse for scripture story time and getting to share my love of the scriptures with them. It is something I never had growing up. I don’t know why, but that dream has always felt like a stretch in my life, like so many things would have to add up just right for it to happen, like it was forever away, but I always wanted it so, so bad. I hope for it continually. But tonight while I was sharing the story of Ammonihah being destroyed by the Lamanites who were mad at the Nephites (Ammon in particular) for them destroying their own people (the Anti-Nephi-Lehi’s, formerly known as King Lamoni’s people), I looked around and could see the excitement on my kids’ faces as they realized the many stories connecting in this one place of the Book of Mormon and I knew that I was already there, living my dream. I hope genuine love of the scriptures resonates deep within my children and that we have many many many many many more evenings together sharing that love. I hope that our family grows and grows and grows and that circle of love we share gets bigger and bigger and bigger, and I hope that forever and ever the gospel of Jesus Christ will root us all together.

Forever grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who doesn’t wait for me to be perfect to help me live my dreams. He is amazing!
