Have I even mentioned that bed time with my kids is my most favorite time of the day? … I’m pretty sure I have. Tonight as we all snuggled on my bed to read scriptures, we talked about Satan and my kids laughed as I used myself as a comparison to him. I told them how when I was a coach, if we were going to play a team that I knew was going to beat us easy, my goal as a coach was to just mess up the other team. I would call plays and have my girls do random things just to mess with the other team. I wanted to make them earn the win rather than just have it handed to them. I compared that to how Satan already knows he has lost, so he just wants to mess us up and make us earn the win. They thought that was pretty funny that I think like Satan sometimes, haha.
Then I read a few entries out loud for them from each of their journals. They loved that! And we laughed and laughed. They wanted to hear more and more of the funny things they did when they were younger. It is a great reminder that I need to keep doing it and that it is 100% a righteous work. I hope one day when they are seeking the things I wrote about them, that they think to look here too. I have included so much of them here in my work and testimony. They are my heart.
Forever grateful for families!
