It’s the day of Thanksgiving! This year instead of Christmas cards, I mailed out (yes mailed, not just posted on instagram) Thanksgiving cards. I take tiny steps back to a full functioning life and this was one of them. I had to go back and gather addresses of meaningful people in my life who I had lost contact with through divorce. Doing so, though, and actually getting the cards made and mailed made me feel that much closer to normal life again. It really is so close for me, I can feel it – I get so excited and so full of gratitude for it.
Things I Am Thankful For
I am thankful for my beautiful kiddos. They make my heart swell with love and happiness.
I am thankful for early morning dance parties with my dad. I haven’t had a dance party in a long time, haha. I love that he’ll join me as I dance to warm up my body for my workout this morning. Our silliness is so much fun! I also love that last night, when I asked him what he was thankful for his reply was, “Everything.” I believe him.
I am thankful to live in such a clean and pleasant town.
I am thankful to have such wonderful people around me through my ward family and friends. I am inspired by so many people I know through the church.
I am thankful for a fun family who still get together for holidays and have fun together and can get a long despite differences.
I am thankful for a healthy body.
I am thankful for my natural talents, too.
I am thankful for education and my ability to learn.
I am thankful for my job and to get to love all of those amazing kiddos I work with each day. They are so great and don’t know how much happiness they bring into my life.
And always, I am grateful for my Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ for making it all possible. I can’t imagine how empty life would be without the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation.
So so so so grateful! Happy Thanksgiving!
