I went to the temple for the first time the other day since Covid-19 had shut them all down. It was the happiest I have felt in a long time. I’ll admit, I was nervous to go. I feel like I have been farther away from the Lord than I like or have been in a long time and was uncertain as to how the temple would feel. But walking in was just like coming home. I could feel the Savior’s love immediately. I could feel that He was happy that I was there. His arms truly are extended out to us still.
While there I was reminded of the pureness of the marriage relationship and its eternal purpose and function. It is so super special and key to unlocking all of the eternal glories available to us. Complete ultimate joy – not meaning that it is easy, but that the joy comes through the unified work and sacrifice and service in that relationship. I walked away so excited for what lies ahead of me and full of gratitude to get to be a part of it all. I am so thankful to have the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I feel so lucky.
Forever grateful for temples.
