Lately I have been completely overwhelmed with proud mommy moments. So much so that this morning I found myself tucked away in a stall of the women’s restroom at work, hiding as I fought back the overwhelming tears of gratitude and love. Our assistant principal had just stopped me to tell me what a great job Anja did at the State golf match. He had gotten to go watch and beamed of accolades towards her and her promising future in golf. She shot a 92 in the match; 19th of 98 girls as a first year sophomore playing. Continually, throughout the season, she has set goal after goal for herself and crushed every single one. While she was away at the golf match, they had an awards night at school where she was awarded student of the year with a 4.0 GPA. A different night, Jentri was awarded 1st place in a writing contest for a poem she wrote. She was beaming and overjoyed that she won first place, and Sidney is graduating in about a week and is such a responsible and independent girl. She simple takes care of business. She was telling me that right now is the happiest she’s ever been, and the makes my heart swell – so much so that I’m a big ball of uncontrollable mommy emotions, haha. I’m simply overwhelmed with love and happiness . . . and so much gratitude for all of it. I’m so humbled at the blessings the Lord has given me in my life.
Forever grateful!
