Many Things to be Grateful For

My heart swells with gratitude for my Heavenly Father and this plan that I get to be a part of. True, it is not easy. I mess it up all of the time. But I love that I get to keep trying. I love that the Lord is still here for me, helping me, guiding me. I feel His hope in my life in things of most concern for me. I know He hears my prayers. I feel blessed to be able to see and feel His love in so many ways. Here are just a few things from the weekend that I am grateful for:

My dad visiting. I am grateful for time with him ALWAYS. I am grateful for the spirit of the St. George tabernacle. I am grateful for leaving my scriptures lying around my house. I am grateful that he forgot to pack his book and instead picked up my scriptures to read. He has no idea how much I wish for him to really turn his heart over to God, to allow God to fill those gaps in his life. Sometimes I worry, but then I spend time with my dad and am put at ease. His heart is good. He will be just fine in his own time. I am grateful for that.

I am grateful for magnificent rainbows arching over Northern Las Vegas. “This is the brightest rainbow I think I have ever seen!” expressed my dad. I am grateful to have gotten to share that experience with him.

I am grateful for long car rides with him and getting to listen to him tell me things he misses about his parents.

I am grateful for tulips peaking out from under the soil in my yard and for fresh blossoms on my apricot tree. I am so excited for spring!

I am grateful for the rain that we received. It is refreshing and reminds me of how small I really am in this existence. God’s creation is amazing!

I am grateful for the cool, fresh air and the lingering sunset while walking at the park tonight.

I am grateful for the many things I got to learn today and for the church leaders who are willing to sacrifice their time to study and share what they know with us.

I guess overall … I’m just really grateful for everything. My Heavenly Father has a way of always making me feel loved. I love Him for it.

Forever grateful. 🙂
