Change – A Divine Necessity

My ward boundaries changed the other day and I was moved into a new ward. I am sad over it. I have truly LOVED my ward! I can’t think of a single person who I know that I won’t miss in that ward. I am leaving behind a sweet primary class of 9 year olds that I taught and many friends. I’m sure I am not the only person involved in the change that feels this way.

During our last Sacrament meeting before the change, a former bishop (now involved in the stake) stood and testified to us of change. He testified of change’s divine attributes. He talked about the necessity of change for growth. He wasn’t talking about physical growth, although I’m sure that’ll happen too, but he stood and bore a powerful testimony of how our loving Heavenly Father wants us to grow spiritually; how we are divinely meant for it; how it is such a large portion of why we are here on this earth in the first place. But we can’t grow by standing still, there has to be change in our lives.

I am grateful for this brother’s sweet message. There has been a lot of change in my life lately and even though it was hard to go through, I wouldn’t have been able to become the person I am now without it, and I feel like I am who I am supposed to be right now. I feel like I am where the Lord wants me to be.

I am so grateful for a loving God who directs our paths to our divine potential! Grateful for the repeated opportunities He places before us for growth, (because Heaven knows that some of us, like me, have to slowly convince ourselves to take that leap into change and growth). But because He loves us so much, he continues providing us with opportunity to make those changes. And I am grateful and excited for the change and growth that is yet to come in my life. I canโ€™t wait! ๐Ÿ˜

Forever grateful!
