I’m such a homebody. Four days away from home is almost one too many for me – even when I am with someone I love and am having fun. There is simply something about coming home that I love! I am so thankful for my house. I love coming home to its warmth and comfort. I walk in the door and immediately I am happy, especially when there is a Christmas tree there to greet me.
Another thing I am grateful for is Aaron’s recent kindness. I can’t tell him that. He would think I was being facetious, but it really does mean a lot to me and I appreciate it. I also am grateful that he takes our kids on adventures, Hawaii, the Caribbean etc. I know that the kids love these trips and I am grateful for the experiences they get to have through them.
Something that I have found myself pondering more than once lately is how grateful I am for everyday, hardworking people who make the world go round. Not every job in this world is fun or exciting or rewarding. In fact, most probably aren’t any of those things, but I respect people who want to make a way for themselves and are willing to work hard to do it – even in less than ideal circumstances. I am grateful for those people and the roles they play in my life.
Forever grateful.
