We are walking out of class and she brushes my shoulder with hers with a bounce and a giggle. She is happy. I am happy. “Let’s go to the temple and look at the flowers today,” she suggests as we walk out the doors and into the sunshine.
I love that my daughter can find the same happiness in church as I do! I love that she knows that happiness. That she can relate it to God and His plan for her, for us.
I am so grateful for the people who surround her and influence her life daily. I am so grateful for her intelligence at wanting to be influenced. I am grateful she is proactive in her growth and spiritual development, and I am grateful she is mine.
I have been given a gift, an opportunity to play a more significant and influential role in her life with her here with me. I need to remember that and take full advantage of that while I have it.
Forever grateful!
